OKC Certified Lions to Host MASL2 and MASL3 Doubleheader at New OG&E Coliseum
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Certified Lions FC will hold its home opener this Saturday at the newly opened OG&E Coliseum, featuring back-to-back matches in the MASL2 and MASL3 divisions.
Located at the OKC Fairgrounds, the OG&E Coliseum opened in June 2025 as a centerpiece of the MAPS 4 initiative, replacing the Jim Norick Arena. The $126 million venue features modern amenities, including premium seating, high-definition video displays, and enhanced sound systems
The first match is scheduled for 4:00 PM CT, where the Lions will face Soles de Sonora, visiting from Hermosillo, Mexico. This game marks the club's official debut in the MASL2 division and brings international competition to the new arena. Following their move to this professional level, the Lions' coaching staff has emphasized tactical organization and defensive discipline as the team prepares to face the experienced Mexican squad.
The second half of the doubleheader begins at 6:30 PM CT with a MASL3 matchup against The Bold Dream FC from Austin.
The Lions enter this home game following a 15–4 road victory against Springfield Demize in their season opener. After that high-scoring performance, the team's objective is to maintain execution and consistency in their first appearance at the OG&E Coliseum this season.
By hosting matches in both the MASL2 and MASL3 tiers on the same night, Certified Lions FC continues its efforts to develop the indoor soccer community in Oklahoma City. The event provides supporters the opportunity to see the club compete at two different levels of the professional indoor soccer pyramid within one of the region's newest sports venues.
